How we measure
We always measure the width of an item. If you want to find the circumference, simply double the listed measurement. If you have something in your wardrobe that fits like a glove and you love how it feels, take the measurements of that piece and compare it to ours. Below, find handy illustrations and advice on measuring everything from sleeve length to inside leg.
Measure the sleeve length by placing one end of the measuring tape at the center of the back of the collar, down the sleeve all the way to the cuff.
To establish the bust measurement, measure from armpit to armpit and multiply the measurement times two.
The waist size is measured 41 cm below the collar. In order to establish the circumference of the item multiply the measurement times two.
The hip size is measured 21 cm below the waistband (along the outside). In order to establish the circumference of the item multiply the measurement times two.
The waistband is measured from edge to edge. For items with a elasticated waistband state the minimum measurement (not stretched) and the maximum measurement (stretched). In order to calculate the circumference multiply the measurement times two.
The length is measured from the collar to the hem. Should the item vary in length, state the minimum and maximum length.
The inseam length is measured from the middle of the waistband to the deepest part of the crotch. Put the edges of the waistband together so that the crotch is the same length at the front and back
For the thigh, measure from edge to edge straight acorss the leg by the crotch. In order to obtain the circumference multiply the measurement times two.
The inside leg is measured from the crotch to the bottom of the leg
